About PALS

Positive AOD Life Support (PALS)

PALS is a Queensland Positive People initiative funded by Queensland Mental Health Commission and supported by University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ), that’s all about supporting people living with HIV to have open, real conversations about alcohol and other drugs (AOD).

We’re all about creating harm reduction resources that reflect our lived experiences. And we work with our communities to help us do it.

This project has been made possible thanks to the support of the Queensland Mental Health Commission, who is responsible for driving reform of the mental health, alcohol and other drug and suicide prevention systems.

They encourage and facilitate change to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders, with a focus on promoting positive mental health and wellbeing, and preventing and reducing the impact of mental ill-health, alcohol and other drug-related harms and suicide.
